Tuesday afternoon notes.

Andy Katz lists Boise State as one of his surprise teams this year (along with Wyoming). It sounds like he's endorsing the Mountain West Conference as a whole more than anything else. Nevertheless, the Broncos are indeed worthy of such praise based on its performances against Michigan State and Creighton, and the play of Derrick Marks.

The #8 Arizona Wildcats' opponent tonight -- Southern Miss -- is led by Arizona native, Michael Craig.

While Jahii Carson and Jordan Bachynski are getting credit for the Sun Devils' improvement this season (and deservedly so), it's Carrick Felix who is enjoying Pac-12 honors this week.

Washington State is gearing up for a big home game against #10 Gonzaga tomorrow night.  Coach Bone believes this may be the best Gonzaga team ever.

Coach Boyle blames bad defense for the loss at Wyoming on Saturday; and admits Cowboy forward Leonard Washington "beasted" the Buffs.

UCLA was out-played, and out-supported, against San Diego State at the Wooden Classic on Saturday.

Nebraska has now beaten USC four-years straight.
